Tango Festival and Championships

The Buenos Aires public progressively selects and accumulates -with no additional stimulus- images of the successive tango events that this city has been hosting over the last years. There exists a need, however, to view memories (or imagination) from a different perspective. The Carlos Furman photography exhibit, at El Dorrego, will enable the rediscovery of circumstances, moments and emotions lived throughout the various Tango Festivals as well as the World and Metropolitan Championships. Featuring 50 pieces in a sort of graphical tango interview, reflecting what took place on stage, behind the stage, and in front of the stage.

Orquesta Escuela Illustrated

Founded in 2000, the Orquesta Escuela de Tango was rapidly consolidated as a bridge into knowledge. Conducted by violinist-composer Emilio Balcarce, the Orquesta trains young musicians, who bring out the magic in the orchestral experience thanks to their direct bond with the great masters. Leonardo García’s photo exhibit, mounted at El Dorrego, will capture the charm produced by that union of different generations brought together by the same passion, Tango.
