Members share their Christmas traditions with us

Not answering the phone, celebrating Hogmanay and reading Dickens' Christmas Carol are just three seasonal traditions that MEPs shared with us. As people across Europe gear up for Christmas we spoke to some Members about what Christmas means for them. They all spoke of it as a time to be with family and friends and as a time for reflection.

Apesar das agressivas campanhas de vendas, dos milhões gastos com presentes de Natal e da correria que antecede este período festivo, a época natalícia e as suas tradições continuam a fazer sentido para muitos. "O Natal permite-nos ter tempo e paz de espírito para apreciar devidamente a companhia dos entes mais queridos", diz a eurodeputada alemã Nadja Hirsch.
